A not so tiny 32′ x 10′ footprint along with 2 large lofts give you a lot more space than traditional THOWs. Plans licensed from The Small House Catalog.
This is a big, big tiny home on wheels. For those who find the traditional 8′-6″ wide THOWs just too small to be practical, and aren’t looking to move their tiny home around very much, then this is a great unit.
The following description is taken from The Small House Catalog website:
The Tamarack is a modern, shed roof style tiny house on wheels with sleeping and storage lofts and sized in between a park model RV and a tiny house.
With an open floor plan it has room for creative owner modifications.
As is, it has a full kitchen and eating area, living room with floor mounted LPG fireplace and french doors leading to an optional small deck.
There’s also a fully appointed bathroom with a standard sized bath and shower, composting loo (porcelain toilet) and small hand basin.
There are stairs ascending to the sleeping loft, a handy storage loft and room of many storage possibilities depending on personal needs.
While the Tamarack can be moved it would be appropriately sited as a park model RV in a liberal trailer park community, permanent guest cottage, etc.
The house features 2×6 walls designed for the cold Minnesota winters and can be insulated to R-38 all around – floors, walls and ceiling – and there’s room for an HRV system to keep moisture from building up and fresh air circulating 24/7
As we have stated throughout our website, we can build the Tamarack using wood stud walls or we can utilize SIPs or steel studs. This depends on your requirements and preference.
